Trunk Bay, St John

This was day 4 (March 16, 2010) of our 7 night caribbean cruise on NCL. First time we ever decided to venture out by ourselves (not do an excursion w/the cruise ship), as we wanted to do ‘our thing’ with no time limits, etc at the beach. We left St. Thomas & went to the neighboring island of St. John (which was recommended to us days prior to arriving) to check out “the world’s most beautiful beach”, Trunk Bay! When we arrived at Trunk Bay, it was well worth the adventure getting there! It was absolutely breathtaking & seeing those mountain peeks (with my own eyes) coming out of the ocean all around us in the distance was spectacular & unbelievable! Better than a post card! At Trunk Bay, I snorkeled out (by myself) to the “Underwater Snorkel Trail” about 40′-50′ deep, around the huge volcanic rock sticking-out of the middle of the beach! That was so amazing & took lots of pics of the abundance of fish, underwater sea life, etc. I even came face-to-face with a big barracuda! Afterwards, we found a secret passageway which had a 200 yr old, hidden pirate’s Fort leading up to a house (US Park Property) on top a mountain. It sure was an adventure & I can’t wait to go back again to this island paradise called Trunk Bay …Once, just isn’t enough! Hope you enjoy!

Jenn and Dan Dive Waterlemon Cay – St. John USVI

Waterlemon Cay is on of the best snorkle dives on St. John. Located at the end of a 3/4 mile hike means that it is never crowded. There are so many different fishes and corals – you never know what you will find. Protected by the National Park, the fish and sea creatures are unusually accustomed to people so you can get real close.
