The girls were unable to travel to Anchorage Friday due to weather conditions, but flew out Saturday and arrived just in time to compete.

Mercer Island fifth-grade girls basketball wins division title
The fifth-grade girls Mercer Island White team won the Puget Sound Travel League silver division title by beating Inglemoor in the finals. The team, coached by Eddie Miles and assisted by Jill Sonsteby, started the tournament with a 43-42 win over Liberty, going on to face Redmond in the semifinals.
